UICCA, driven by the strong leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, provides a much-needed vibrant platform to bring various, cross-sectoral parties together to foster strategic partnerships, drive innovation, and provide expert advisory services to help achieve the world’s climate goals. Today, GE Vernova’s technology base helps generate approximately 25% of the world's electricity, and has a meaningful role to play in the energy transition. Driven by the singular mission to electrify the world while simultaneously helping to decarbonize it, we have been honored to collaborate with UICCA to contribute towards shaping a more sustainable future for present and future generations.

This stand at a watershed moment for many sectors, including environmental sustainability. It is essential that all stakeholders, including governmental bodies, corporations, non-profit entities, academic institutions, and policymakers recognize that a more consistent and coordinated international effort is required to take the response to climate change to the next level. The UICCA plays a pivotal role in this endeavor, providing a collaborative platform for actors from around the world to advance the climate agenda.

UICCA has been instrumental in supporting the Google Climate Accelerators by showcasing four startups at the UICCA Innovators Corner during COP28, significantly enhancing their visibility among regional stakeholders. Additionally, UICCA organized a highly impactful panel featuring Kate Brandt, Google's Chief Sustainability Officer, demonstrating their dedication to fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration in the climate innovation space.

The Bridge Institute has had the honour to partner with UICCA on the UAE Carbon Removal Breakthrough Coalition, a programme aimed at bringing the government, business, and civil society together to create a roadmap to remove excess carbon dioxide at large scale from our atmosphere. UICCA is the most exceptional and wonderful partner. The team have deep expertise in sustainability, in understanding systems change, and in being able to bring different stakeholders together to solve the pressing challenges of our time. I have found every member of the organisation to be deeply committed to building a better world for future generations, very caring and very supportive – they are also a lot of fun to spend time with. Our partnership with UICCA has made an enormous difference to us and our work – we are all deeply grateful for this.
