What we do

The name speaks to the threshold we have now crossed. The year 2024 marked the first time global temperatures breached 1.5°C, a turning point - and 2025 is a year we must act. Frontier represents the edge between crisis and course correction, the place where bold action can still shape what comes next. Together, Frontier25 signals both urgency and possibility: the need to act decisively now, and the opportunity to chart a sustainable future.

Frontier25 is an nonprofit, funded through collaborative partnerships, service fees, and grants that support our programmes and services.

Frontier25 is an independent nonprofit organisation founded in the UAE. While we collaborate with government entities on policy and implementation, we are not a government agency. Our role is to complement both public and private sector action through our three strategic pillars, Advisory, Accelerators, and Alliances.

We focus on three main areas: driving carbon solutions, building circular economies, and supporting climate adaptation. These priorities are advanced through our three strategic pillars: Advisory, Accelerators, and Alliances.

We offer services under three strategic pillars:

1. Advisory: We turn research into actionable insights and policy recommendations that drive measurable impact. This includes research and insights, policy advisory, strategic solutions, and capacity building programmes.

2. Accelerators: We empower climate startups and SMEs to accelerate growth and establish market presence in the Middle East. This includes our accelerator programme Launchpad, as well as investor roadshows, which connect international investors with local startups, stakeholders, and implementation partners.

3. Alliances: We bring together public and private partners to achieve shared climate goals. This includes the UAE Carbon Alliance - a coalition of partners that is growing a robust carbon market and advancing decarbonisation projects.

We track our impact by monitoring environmental outcomes, stakeholder behavioural changes, and systemic policy improvements that contribute to climate action goals and the growth of the green economy.

We work with local, regional and international governments, private sector organisations, investors, SMEs, startups, NGOs, and international partners. Our initiatives and events bring together these groups to advance a shared climate agenda.

Frontier25 has established MoUs with key international, regional, and local partners, including The Atlantic Council, United Nations Development Programme, UAE Ministry of Economy, and UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office.

We are also an official UAE nominator for the Earthshot Prize and hold an observer seat with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

We are headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and work with organisations around the world. Our programmes and partnerships extend regionally and internationally.
